YouTube frequently changes and adds useful features to its smartphone apps. Recently it added the ability to filter subscription videos inside the iOS app. This is very handy, and you may use these filters to see only the fresh videos that were published today.
Additionally, you also have the option to get a clean list of videos that you have not watched yet. The settings here also let you choose between videos and posts or only videos. So, if you are excited about this, then here is how to filter the subscription feed on the YouTube app for iPhone.
How to Filter YouTube Subscriptions Feed on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. Open the YouTube app on your iPhone.
Step #2. Tap on Subscriptions from the bottom row. You need to be signed in for this.
Step #3. On top of your subscription videos, you have the Filters. They are,
- All Videos
- Today
- Continue Watching
- Unwatched
- Live
- Posts
After you tap on any of the above YouTube Subscription Filters, it will come in effect. You will see that your Subscription box cleans up and shows videos only according to the filter you select.
How to See Videos, Posts, or Both in your YouTube Subscription Feed
Step #1. In Step #3, swipe the filters to the left and reach the end. You will see SETTINGS.
Step #2. Tap on SETTINGS, and now you may select Videos and posts or Videos only.
I like to keep my Subscription feed tidy, and thus, I prefer ‘Videos only.’
Use of YouTube Subscription Feed Filters
This feature was long needed in the YouTube app. Nowadays, we subscribe to multiple YouTube Channels, and the list gets long. At times we may lose track of what we watched and what we missed.
These subscription filters are useful, and in the future, we might see a few more options added to it. They may be Yesterday, Last 3 days, News, Vlogs, Tech, etc.
