While browsing the web, if I find something really cool, I like taking a screenshot of it to share with my friends. The one little but quite handy feature which I’d love to see in iOS screenshot is the ability to combine multiple screenshots into a single image on iPhone and iPad.
Tailor, a third-party app for iOS, allows iPhone users to stitch together multiple screenshots with ease. Developed by “Foundry 63,” it works neatly and is available for free. Apart from the iPhone and iPad, the app also works with iPod touch and requires iOS 9 or later.
How to Combine Multiple Screenshots into a Single Image on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. First off, download Tailor on your compatible iOS device.
Step #2. Capture some consecutive screenshots of the content. To do so, click both the Home button and side button at once to capture the screen.
On your iPhone X, you need to click the side button and volume up button simultaneously to take the screenshot.
Note: If you are a differently-abled person and can’t press the buttons while taking a screenshot, head over to this quick guide to snap the screen with just a touch using AssistiveTouch.
“When capturing screenshots, you need to ensure that there is a bit of overlap between the on-screen content.”
Step #3. Now, launch the Tailor app on your iOS device.
Step #4. Next, you need to allow the app to access your photo library. Tap on Allow Access and then tap OK in the popup to confirm.
Next, the app will instantly identify and analyze and then stitch together your latest consecutive screenshots.
Note: You will see a “Not Enough Overlap” error if you didn’t ensure a bit of overlap between onscreen content while grabbing the screenshots.
In such a case, you will need to capture the screen again.
Step #5. Finally, tap on the save/share button to save the image or share the shots with your friends.
That’s pretty much it!
You can repeat the same steps to stitch more screenshots on your device. The app works intuitively and has a simple interface allowing you to get your work done without any hassle.
