To help you with the same, in this article, I have explained how you can set a video as a screensaver on your Mac.
How to use a video as your Mac screen saver
Follow the instructions below to use a video clip as a screensaver for macOS Ventura and Monterey.
In macOS Ventura
- Download and install SaveHollywood on your Mac.
- Click on the Apple logo and launch System Settings.
- Click Screen Saver → SaveHollywood → Options.
- Click + sign.
- Select video.
Go to the video source and select a video or multiple videos. - Hit Add.
Note: Adjust the Screen options according to your preference.
- Click OK to confirm.
Note: You can check the custom screensaver using the Preview function. You can also change the start screensaver time by opening System Settings → scrolling down to Lock Screen → changing Start Screen Saver when inactive.
In macOS Monterey
- Download and install the SaveHollywood app.
- Open System Preferences → Desktop & Screen Saver.
- Select Screen Saver → SaveHollywood → Screen Saver Options.
- Click + sign.
- Select video.
Go to the video source and select a video or multiple videos. - Hit Add.
Note: Adjust the Screen options according to your preference. - Click OK to confirm.
Note: You can check the custom screensaver using the Preview function by hovering the mouse over the video. You can also get an option to change the start screensaver time by activating the check box for Start Screen Saver when inactive.
