Persuaded by Mike Markkula into becoming the first CEO of Apple, Michael Scott was the reputed Director of Manufacturing at National Semiconductor.

An electrical engineer, businessman, and investor, Mike Markkula became one-third owner and employee no 3 of Apple after making an investment of $250,000.

Mike Markkula (1981–1983)

Persuaded by Steve Jobs, John Sculley was the youngest president of Pepsi. His solid business background brought a great deal of reliability and stability to Apple.

After quickly rising through the ranks in Apple’s European operations, Spindler presided over a series of successful projects like Power PC during his CEO tenure.

Amelio was brought in to try to turn the company around during its dark stock days but was ultimately unsuccessful and left the chair in just 5 months.
