What’s new in 14" and 16" MacBook Pro 2023 🤯  💻

Apple released the all-new MacBook Pro 14" & 16" models, with major chipset upgrades and retained design.

Design

Apple has stuck with the tested and reliable design of the 2021 MacBook Pro for the latest 14" and 16" MBPs.

Processor

The announcement of the new MBPs was headlined by the latest M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. In Adobe Photoshop, the M2 Pro can process images 40% faster in comparison to the M1 Pro. 

RAM

The new DDR5 RAM can be expanded up to 96 GB for the new 14” and 16” MBPs, powered by the M2 Max chip.  That’s a first for Apple!

Display

With the unchanged Liquid Retina XDR display, the 2023 MacBook Pro retains the best display ever in a laptop.

Battery

In comparison to the 2021 counterparts, the 14” and 16” MBPs have improved in the battery segment with 18 and 22 hours of life, respectively.

Notably, the 22 hrs of battery life in the new 16” MacBook Pro is the longest battery life ever for a Mac.

Connectivity

Apple has significantly upgraded in the connectivity of the machines. Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) Bluetooth: 5.3

Ex. Display Support

Connect at max up to 4 external displays. 

3 displays at 6K/60Hz and 1 display at 4K/60Hz   3 displays with 2 at 6K/60Hz and 1 with 8K/60Hz 1 display at 4K resolution at 240Hz over HDMI 

Storage

Much like the previous models, Apple is retaining the 8TB SSD for the new entrants.

Price

The base variant of the 2023 MacBook Pro 14” is $1999  while for MacBook Pro 16” is $2499 However, if you fully customize the device to its fullest, it can cost up to  $6499.  

Availability

Both the new 14” and 16” MacBook Pros, with M2 Pro and Max chips, are available online now.  Shipment and store purchases start on January 24.
