Elon Musk finally struck a deal Twitter couldn't refuse!

Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44 billion (at a value of $54.20 per share).

Initially, rumors hinted that Twitter wasn't interested in accepting Musk's offer. 

Moreover, Twitter's directors adopted a "poison pill" approach to avoid a hostile takeover. But the tables turned on Monday.

But why pay so much for a 16-year-old business that hadn't grown as exponentially as its rivals?  Well, Elon Musk shared that he wants Twitter to achieve its potential rather than make a profit!
